THE holiday season is here, but what if you need help accessing your bank account?
We explain the opening hours during the holidays and how to access your money.
Is your bank open during the holidays?
Because Christmas is a statutory holiday, your local bank branch was closed, but here’s how you can access banking services from Barclays, Halifax, NatWest and Santander.
Christmas Day fell on a Friday this year and Boxing Day was a Saturday, so the following Monday today, December 28, also becomes a public holiday.
This means that your local bank branch will likely be closed from Friday December 25, 2020 until Tuesday December 29, 2020.
Banks can also operate reduced hours during the remaining days until December 31.
As New Years Day falls on a Friday this year, it means your bank will be closed.
Many are also already operating at reduced hours or are closed due to the pandemic.
However, you can still use an ATM and access online banking year-round.
We’ve rounded up the Christmas hours of operation for Barclays, NatWest, Santander and Halifax below.
