Cody police are investigating a suspected armed robbery early Monday morning at the Holiday Inn, according to a department statement.

At 5:09 a.m., officers responded to the hotel following a robbery report at reception.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses and learned that a masked woman wearing a black hoodie entered the hotel’s front door and approached a front desk employee. The suspect demanded money as she lifted the side of her sweatshirt to expose a gun holstered on her hip. According to the statement, the clerk placed cash in a bag and gave it to the suspect. The suspect then walked through the front door and drove off in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as female, approximately 20 to 30 years old, of average build, 5’3″ to 5’7″, and was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a black face mask. alligator.

Officers surveyed the area and were unable to locate the suspect.

There are no suspects at this time.
