Darjeeling Tours back in action for the festive period

Darjeeling Tours are (very) happy to announce that they are back in action for the upcoming holiday season.

A recent ‘reconnaissance’ trip to India confirmed it was safe to visit, with COVID well under control and life largely returning to normal, with the usual friendly welcome from locals.

Tours in Darjeeling have a full schedule for the upcoming season – their recreated ‘Darjeeling Mail’ tour via Bangladesh is now fully booked, but the touring company has three excellent India tours in the new year.

Darjeeling Tours’ flagship tour, “Indian Magic”, takes place in January and visits the three main hill railways, Darjeeling, Shimla and Ooty (with steam in all three), as well as the Taj Mahal.

On the Darjeeling they have an exclusive dining train – a full three course dinner served in ‘B’ class blasts through the sal forests at dusk.

Darjeeling Tours also offers a wonderful South India tour in February and a tour of Kangra Valley and Amritsar in March. The Kangra Valley is a narrow gauge line that travels 100 miles along a verdant valley in the shadow of the high Himalayas: it is a line not to be missed.

Also don’t forget their tour of Colorado in September, with all the best tourist lines, plus a visit to the Union Pacific Steam Center in Cheyenne – home to the restored ‘Big Boy’.

Tours in Darjeeling also take a trip to Australia, with so much to see in the south east of the country, with a day on the Great Barrier Reef and behind the scenes of the iconic Puffing Billy Railway.

After confinement, it’s time for adventure – come with Darjeeling Tours for a successful vacation!
