Molo Hotel Group has opened the doors of its new hotel, the Holiday Inn Express Cambridge West Cambridge.
Located between Cambridge and Cambourne Business Park, the hotel said it was “specifically” built and designed to meet the needs of travellers.
The hotel said it created 17 new jobs when it opened, with the team led by general manager Ilhan Kose joining a “wealth of international experience”, also joined by Himalee Barber, who occupies the position of sales manager.
According to Molo Hotels, this is the fourth UK property to be opened by the group, which has a number of properties currently under construction, both in the UK and overseas.
Designed by ICA architects and interior designers, the hotel is part of the “next generation” of Holiday Inn Express properties and uses modular technology for its 144 rooms, reducing material waste as well as emissions. transport, measures that have contributed to the property’s A rating on energy performance.
Its green credentials have been “further boosted” with the use of air-source heat pumps used to heat the property as well as electric vehicle charging.

Smaller meetings can be held in lobby booths that feature tables with built-in power supplies, while offering a bit more privacy for guests working on the go.
