IHG’s Holiday Inn brand returns to Najran, Saudi Arabia – 2022 – News & Media – Newsroom


New signing aligns with Saudi government’s plan to develop tourism in secondary cities and reinforces IHG’s expansion strategy in the Kingdom

IHG®Hotels and resortsone of the world’s leading hotel companies, announced the signing of a management agreement with Al Rabea Hotels and Trading Co. to Holiday Inn Najran – a conversion property in the city of Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The hotel returns to the IHG family after operating as a Holiday Inn hotel from 1995 to 2015.

With this signing, IHG continues to diversify its portfolio in the country to cater to a new segment of travellers, while aligning with the government’s growth plan for secondary cities in the Kingdom. The new hotel is expected to be fully renamed by the end of 2023, with completion in two phases.

Located in the heart of Najran city, Holiday Inn Najran enjoys a beautiful setting, surrounded by a lush landscape of trees and overlooking the mountains. Located 20 km from the city center and 18 km from the airport, the hotel will be easily accessible by visitors.

Following the renovation and rebranding, the 87-key hotel will offer 82 well-appointed rooms and five villas for business and leisure travelers, complemented by leisure facilities including an outdoor swimming pool, gym, a sauna, a hammam and a jacuzzi. Additionally, the hotel offers a variety of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, coffee shop, lobby lounge, and poolside lounge. Business travelers will also have access to four spacious meeting rooms equipped for informal meetings or formal presentations.
